The Black Balloon

On my quest to find out more about Gemma Ward’s [Canadian-] award-winning new movie, The Black Balloon, I got sidetracked and stumbled upon these very dynamic photographs by Matthew Brindle

I can’t decide which is a stronger statement–Brindle has interesting friends or he takes good portraits (you can’t really tell here that his friends are interesting, but if you look in his flickr album, you’ll see what I mean)… I hand-picked these from his flickr album.
