Finally saw Frida Kahlo, the film, and although the acting by Salma Hayek I’m sorry to say was terrible (despite several nominations for Best Actress), the film succeeded because Kahlo was simply one of the most incredible people to have ever lived! So despite the unconvincing acting, many chapters in her life still drew tears to my eyes, just because the actual stories themselves were so heartbreaking. Truth be told, the acting gets better as the film progresses, Hayek seemed to grasp her character better and better with more practice.
